Tour de Flute
A trio of friends and colleagues
Although the Tour de Flute Trio has existed spiritually for over 20 years, our performing group formed during the summer of 2019. We felt the need to bring our talents together to awaken new audiences to experience flute ensemble repertoire. Prior to that, we have performed in orchestra flute sections together as colleagues. Two of us actually met at a HS summer camp and two of us met at a flute masterclass!
Francesca Arnone is artist/faculty at the University of South Florida where she teaches flute and chamber music. Equally at home in orchestral, chamber ensemble, and college teaching settings, she performs with orchestras around the state on flute, piccolo, and alto flute. She's earned degrees at the Oberlin Conservatory, San Francisco Conservatory, and the University of Miami. Dr. Arnone has taught at Baylor, West Virginia, Boise State, and Idaho State universities before returning to her home state of Florida. She loves to travel through music, and right now is cooking her way around the world, one vegetable at a time.
